Casting famous people in famous parts

this is just a fun idea.

I have taken a near lifelong interest in
pop music , radio, and tv...films and footie.plus cricket and theatre

So I am going to use my imagination to cast a few personalies in famous roles.

Jeremy Paxman...He could growl his way through Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights.

Eric Pickles, MP. Just right for any Dickens role. Marleys ghost would suit him

Gordon Brown: He could play Heathcliff after Paxman.

Harry Royal: He could play ALFIE in a play of that name. (Polish up his cockney accent)

Cheryl Cole: New geordie barmaid in Corrie.

Tony Blair...taylor maid for The Importance of Being Ernest. (one of the posh young men)

David Cameron: He could take over playing Ken Barlow in Corrie (when current actor retires)

Simon Cowell: Could play Biggs in a film about the Great Train Robbery.

Gabby Logan: Princess Anne in a film about regal ladies.

Me? Robin Hood. the wife knitted me the hat already

cheers "Gabby"

David Cameron could play Data if they revise Star Trek the Next Generation.

George Osborne could be Mr Collins in Pride and Prejudice.

Victoria Beckham could be Irma Prunesquallor from Gormenghast.

DerangedSibyl · 25/02/2011 15:00

Ohhhh

You know the Terry Pratchet books?

they did The Hogfather as a film.

Brian Blessed should have been cast as Arch Chancellor Ridcully

Great posts

I thought Elton John would make a great middle aged Billy Bunter.

Vinnie Jones: New Landlord at the pub in Eastenders.

Lady Gaga: Behind the bar in Emmerdale,

Famous memory man: He could coach Arsene Wenger

filibear that is brilliant.

I've always thought Stephen Fry would make a good Ridcully, and Peter Mandelson would be perfect as Vetinari.

robotlollypopman · 26/02/2011 14:25

Mumsnetters-Dawn of the Dead or any other films involving hoardes seeking blood.

Glitterknickaz · 26/02/2011 17:25

I think David Cameron would be better suited to Tim Nice But Dim.

David Milliband would make an ace Mr Bean.
