To eat naughty things when dd is asleep so she doesn't want any?

Now IRS not that I don't let her have naughty thongs to eat or anything but I do not want her to eat them as often as I would like to Blush

so driving to the supermarket and she has fallen asleep so to allow her a little nap I have gone through the macdonalds drive thru and parked in the supermarketcar park and eaten it. The last time I had a creme egg.

AIBU?

The typo makes for interesting reading, I must say.

I think you're me - I do exactly the same - MaccyDs drivethru when kids are asleep in the past week AND I have mini-creme eggs in the car which DH and I snaffled yesterday the second the kids fell asleep Blush

Also DH and I were just discussing what to have for lunch, and DH has decided not to have the King Prawns we've bought so we don't have to share them with DCs!! Shock

Have to say though, I've never eaten a naughty thong in my life. Maybe I'm missing out :o

Is this not normal? Wink I have been known to smuggle a choccy bar into my handbag for a car journey to eat the minute the DC are asleep Grin

GlynisIsFixed · 25/02/2011 12:45

YANBU

it's a proven fact that these 'naughty thongs' taste even better whilst DCs are asleep.

especially if the DC in question really likes them too Wink

mousymouse · 25/02/2011 12:47

yanby - I do that all the time.

Megatron · 25/02/2011 12:48

UANBU I do this all the time. I have been know to hide from my children so that I can stuff my face with things that are bad for them (and me). I'm a total hypocrite.

AgentZigzag · 25/02/2011 12:48

Of course YANBU, do as I say not as I do and all that...Smile

Now DD1's 10 she knows full well that bag of poppadoms and the hot choc drinks are mine!

Doesn't stop her asking though Hmm

ben5 · 25/02/2011 12:49

the 'naughty thongs' always taste good with a glass of wine!
have also told ds1 that some things contain peanuts, he has an allergy to them! cream eggs have lots of peanuts in them!

LoveBeingAKnockedUp · 25/02/2011 12:53

Opps must have had a maccy d high when typing on my phone.

Don't feel any guiltnow. Anyway off to the park the car and wake her up, wish me luck!

Lol, yep I have been known to hide in the kitchen with various naughty 'thongs'

LisasCat · 25/02/2011 13:05

Even better is when I act all magnanimous about allowing DD a square of chocolate. Never mind the fact that I've eaten the other 39 squares of an enormous Dairy Milk monster sized bar while hiding in the kitchen - I make her know just how lucky she is for the one square I'm letting her have. Now that's love!

CointreauVersial · 25/02/2011 13:10

Many's the time me and DH have sat in the front of the car, quietly stuffing our faces with sweets, McFlurries, or something similarly "unsuitable" for our darling offspring, who sit oblivious in the back seat.

"daddy, have you got something in your mouth?"

"why can I smell chocolate?"

We're sooooo mean!

lesley33 · 25/02/2011 13:10

I used to do exactly the same when my children were young!
