I do understand that the staff need a holiday but why are holidays not taken on a rota?

All the ones I've found so far are closed for the last 2 weeks of the holidays - arghhhhhh - I can;t even do 2 weeks at one and 2 weeks at another!

If you know of a holiday scheme that takes children from the age of 4 in SE London, please let me know!!!!

I don't think it's about rotas is it?? I thought most holiday schemes are made up of people working just for the summer so shouldn't really be an issue. I assume it's down to demand and possibly they've realised that a lot of people were taking their two week holidays themselves??

My sons school has 8 weeks holiday which means I have two weeks at the beginning of the school holidays with no holiday scheme too

I don't, but try the local surestart centre if you have one. My local one runs all but the xmas period.

But Bodleian Babe, surely not everyone is taking the last 2 weeks and that when all the scheme around here are closed?

Surely everyone takes there holidays at different times and a holiday scheme should be open for the whole holidays not closed for a third of it!
