To want to read a lot in half term?

I work term time so it's my holiday too.
Dcs organize themselves with friends, cinema etc.
House is tidy and clean.
Dh who is Mr Fitness, tuts at me reading my books.
"have you been to the gym?"
No. Not since November actually.
I do Pilates once a week which I love, and am planning to get back into the gym next week.

Tell him you are polishing your pelvic floor whilst you read, but he is distracting you.

Or just smile sweetly and tell him you've been to the gym and are relaxing now after umpteen circuits.

Ah well I win then - I just joined the gym AND I finally started reading Lord of the Rings.

(YANBU obviously)

I would go to the gym rather than read Lord of the Rings
