AIBU to think that these British people living/working in Libya are making a fuss? Yes it is dangerous. But that is why western people working in countries like Libya receive such high wages - it is danger money. And, surprise surprise, it is now dangerous. I just don't really get it. I realise its scary. But surely they knew it was a dangerous place to go in the first place.

I have been shocked (listening to fivelive today) that the radio have had a lot of phone calls and texts saying exactly the same thing as the OP - who are these people??

Be a bit like saying how stupid of any tourists going on holiday to Egypt - I mean what do you expect going to these places?

They get high wages but no amount of money is going to get you out of that situation if there are no planes or boats to take you.

I'm watching a teacher talk about her experiences on the news. She is very grateful to have left the country but obviously traumatised. Are you really saying she deserved this?
