honestly, I have had ENOUGH of the bickering

they are lovely, really

so far today I have read them three chapters of a book, baked bread, produced and marked a general knowledge quiz and judged a dancing competition

they have also played on the Wii, played "holidays" in their room and made a map of a fictional town

after lunch they are going to have a bubble bath with all their toys and the bath tinty crackly grot they got for christmas

then we are going to read some more and make dinner together

I am having a few minutes to myself and they are SCREECHING at each other in the next room, apparently they are trying to choreograph a dance routine together and can't agree

AIBU to flush them down the loo and pretend it was mass hysteria and I never actually had any children?

ds1 has just come out and said "Mummy, I think it's time you started running our bath"

am I being prickly? or should he bugger off and pick his nose or look out of the window or just be BORED for a few minutes?

They probably need to get out of the house and burn off some energy. Mine always play up when they're couped up indoors no matter what we do with them.

yanbu..

Sidge · 23/02/2011 13:23

You need to put them in childcare and Go To Work.

It's the only way to get through half term Grin

stiflersmom · 23/02/2011 13:39

I do work Sidge, but school hours Grin

Yeah me too stifler, holidays are harder than term time Grin

YANBU BTW. Wink

sjm123 · 23/02/2011 13:48

I find duct tape works better. Superglue tends to flake Wink

I would like a velcro wall that I can stick my 2 to when they're being particularly bothersome Hmm

stiflersmom · 23/02/2011 13:49

have told them to put their boots on and go outside for a bit

dc2 came to me and said in that horrible "miiiss, miiiss" voice "muuuum, dc1 is putting his boots on without socks"

I reply "I don't care if dc1's feet turn to soft cheese, just GO OUT"

dc2 goes away

dc2 to dc1: "Mum says she doesn't care if your feet turn to soft cheese. I hope they do, because it would be better than Stilton which your feet already are"

see what I have to put up with?
