I should probably start off by saying that I am a newbie poster on mumsnet, so please forgive me if I have the etiquette all wrong or if I am posting in the wrong place... if so hopefully someone will put me right!
Her'es my query: I decided that my life ought to contain some more interesting tea towels(!) I started doing an internet search and decided to buy one that says "I hate washing up, I hate washing up, I hate washing up, I hate washing up" in line after line. It came from a site called "toby shop" tobyshop.com and cost £6. I still liked it enough to contemplate buying a £6 tea towel when I realised the postage was £5....
So, on the 11th February I placed my order, and... nothing...
Like many mum's I have excellent credentials when it comes to internet shopping. I didn't get anything wrong. I had the usual confirmation email... then... nothing...
Since then I have called their contact telephone number 5 times and left messages. Their answerphone only has the factory setting pre-recorded voice message - whch makes them appear really unprofessional...
Their is no listed email address, but the site does contact a contact form. I duly filled this in with the details of my order and query... the link is inactive and the message cannot be sent. GRRRR!!!!
JEEZ!!!!! This kindof things makes me crazeeeee! I just can't let it go. How can they be so rude? And I hate feeling so impotent... Aaaargh!
Has anyone else had experience with this company? Are they going our of business? Do they really exist?!?!?! Are they con men? Toby Mott is (I thought) a reputable artist and I believed this was his website selling his designs???
Anyway - this is far too long and I will stop going on now - but any insight would be most gratefully received!!!!!
Thanks!
