My address has received two letters saying you have "been chosen" to be interviewed by a census geezer.

well, is this a mini census: are thse letters being sent to addtesses all over the country.

I have UNCHOSEN my address,

The ex Chelsea manager is the "chosen one."

Cheers "Gabby"

Ah, Gabby - you light up my day with your ramblings. On MN you are cretainly the chosen one.

zingzillachinchilla · 21/02/2011 12:03

that would be certainly... obviously

ethelina · 21/02/2011 12:05

Its cos you're special, Gabby. The government are mesmerised by you, as are we of course.

I'd rather the 'census geezer' didn't interview you Gabby. We've already got too many people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as it is.

How lucky, you are truly a chosen one.
I wonder what sort of questions you'll be asked.
when is the census being taken?
I've only answered one in the UK, one in Oman (where the man couldn't understand that DH only had one wife) and I think we did one in Thailand, not entirely sure.

27th March is the census day. The questions are usually pretty basic and inoffensive. This year we can fill it in online, which will be a help but, in future, the same data might be compiled via non-direct means. As someone that has used old census data to compile a family tree, I think they're a lovely snapshot of households on a particular day.
