It is sex. Having sex. Screwing, fucking, shagging, making lurve. Sex has three letters, one more than BD, and the same as DTD. Although you have to stick your finher on the shift key for DTD and BD making them more labour intensive than writing sex.

Please, please stop it. If you are old enough to have sex, you are old enough to type the word on an anonymous internet forum. I appreciate that TTCers have their own language which is fine but on the main boards, it offends me, and hurts my eyes. Please stop.

YADNBU, BD in particular makes me want to hurl. I have spent a while on the TTC boards (what brought me here) and actually I dont see it used that much in there. SFF and SWI are fair enough as we are naturally a wee bit obsessed with the difference but mostly we say sechs (to avoid work filters) where I hang out.

Even when I was ttc I had to stay off the vast majority of the conception threads because I didn't want to talk about DTD or baby dancing or want anyone to wish me a fertilised egg that would 'stick' or sprinkle baby dust anywhere near me

As an aside - would the freeze dried stuff still make your hair as shiny as the free flowing ? I only ask because my ex told me of it's medicinal properties and I would much rather sprinkle it on my weetabix than tackle the stuff at source....

I haven't read all the posts so apologies - and I've had a couple of glasses of wine which doesn't help. I don't like the term BD either - because DP and I have never been in this position, we've just had sex and have been lucky enought to have 2DDs as a result when we've wanted them. If we'd been purposedly trying to have a baby and been having sex for that purpose then I too may have been persuaded to use the term BD. Loosen up.

Huh. It irrationally irritates me when people use the word "think" in daft ways on this forum. Specifically when they say something like "my DH has a hobby (think golf, cycling)". It just sounds soooo wrong in my head, the word think in that sentence. I wish people would stop doing it.

I dont even know why it annoys me so much!

Dtd is far quicker to type than 'having sex' which has 6 more letters.
