where did it go?

OP posts:
MsHighwater · 17/02/2011 23:01

The OP revealed too much and was going to ask for it to be pulled. I guess it was pulled.

begonyabampot · 17/02/2011 23:01

probably deleted at the posters request.

felicity10 · 17/02/2011 23:01

i know, that was quick! Guess DM will cover it tomorrow then. Nightmare for OP, naive to have posted some of that info, but probably moment of madness.

wineonafridaynight · 17/02/2011 23:02

It's been pulled. Pleased to see that there is someone working at night who takes these threads away. Hope lady can come back and post again for advice without the extra detail!

Catnao · 17/02/2011 23:02

That's what I was just wondering! I went off for a bath and came back and it was gone! Did OP come back at all?

MummieHunnie · 17/02/2011 23:02

Did op have any empathy for her half sister at all by the end of the thread?

OP posts:
AnnOnimous · 17/02/2011 23:02

glad it has gone, now the OP can come back on and ask for what she really wanted answered, and we can concentrate on that for her.

Catnao · 17/02/2011 23:03

X posts with loads!

IWantAnotherBaby · 17/02/2011 23:03

It was pulled in the last 5 minutes then; I finished reading it at 22:55!

felicity10 · 17/02/2011 23:04

It is hard to see what OP thought she was going to get in terms of advice though really. I think she just needed to tell someone and clearly couldn't talk about it in RL.

Bloodymary · 17/02/2011 23:04

MummieHunnie, no the OP did not appear to any empathy for her half sister.

MummieHunnie · 17/02/2011 23:05

I wondered if the thread was a way of publically humiliating the half sister to get her back for humiliating her father. How was the half sister to know that so many people had access to one email address?

OP posts:
felicity10 · 17/02/2011 23:07

MummieHunnie I concur, can't help but think that when it is someone in the public eye, which is made very clear, it would be odd to let slip what they do for a living - espec when it is a list which is so easily obtainable...

MsHighwater · 17/02/2011 23:11

If it was about humiliating the sister, why would she have got it pulled?

Look to be fair, I think the OP was looking out for her Dad and the event came as a big shock to er and her family and she doesnt want her Mum upset. It WOULD be a big sock to find out that not only do you have a half sister, but that she is in the public eye as well. Then there is the complicating issue of the fact that it was revealed in a public way so there is no way of possibly 'protecting' her mother from the knowledge, so OP knows that she is about to enter a very hard and upsetting time with wide ramifications for her and her family, not to mention any press that may get involved. Yes, she was a little hasty in revealing who it was (well, no, another poster did from info OP gave!) but she is probably a little upset right now and not thinking straight.

So how about a little thought for what the OP is going through, an upsetting time, and cut her a little slack?

ThreIsNoSpoon · 17/02/2011 23:19

Linking to the thread is not a good idea as it just gives the DM more info.

ThreIsNoSpoon · 17/02/2011 23:20

Suggest thread is moved to OTBT

MummieHunnie · 17/02/2011 23:22

good idea for both actually, have you asked for that to happen?

OP posts:
LoopyLoopsHulaHoops · 17/02/2011 23:23

Sorry, I didn't think, as there is no info in this thread. Will report my post.

RachelMumsnet · 17/02/2011 23:36

We were asked by the OP to delete the thread and it was verging on being libellous so we were happy to agree
