I work in a very close-knit team. A girl joined in August and took an immediate liking to my close friend. A few months later she admitted to fancying my friend and said she was determined to 'convert' her. Since then, all she has done is undermine me and throw herself at my friend.

Some examples, on a Monday morning she announced my pregnancy to the entire workforce before I had told some key people. Thankfully I had told the boss. The following day, at the restaurant she sat beside me and lit up a cigarette. IN A NO SMOKING restaurant - BESIDE A PREGNANT WOMAN!

Since then, my friend has kind of gone over to the dark side, which is a side issue and very hurtful but what do I do about this nutter!?

Well I hope your friend comes to her senses, this girl is clearly a psycho.. but to be honest short of bumping her off you can't really do anything about who your mate is friends with. If you start trying to dictate her life for her you will end up the bad guy which is what this other girl clearly wants! Don't give up on your best mate and if you can, just avoid this other loon!!

Am in an expat community in Eastern Europe - so no smoking ban here. I am glad you all think she is nuts too.....:)

Keep your distance from both these women and concentrate on you and your baby.
