well did he do it maliciously or was it an accident? it can't be much fun delivering books in this weather (freezing cold around here, frost still hasn't gone from this morning), i doubt he wants to add getting fired into that.

and if you really want to complain, just did a search for "bt directory delivery books" and vacancies for a company called Link Direct came up. looks like they hire companies on contracts to do it, which makes sense.

sorry about your plants though, that would annoy me but i know boys don't think

blushingbaby · 17/02/2011 17:46

Well when I say boy I mean 15/16 yr old. Old enough to show a bit more respect IMO.

YABU. He's got off his backside to lug around heavy directories in return for a pittance.

[Slight bias: I did this over 20 years ago. It was horrid but it was the only work I could get at that age.]

PeterRandLink · 18/02/2011 09:05

Sorry to hear of this. If you email me more info (e.g. location/postcode) I will make sure our field staff are made aware of this for future reference. Email address is [email protected]

atswimtwolengths · 18/02/2011 09:48

Oh no, don't get the boy sacked, for god's sake!

PeterRandLink · 18/02/2011 10:22

We wouldn't do that - however (assuming this was accidental) we would ask them to be careful when delivering if they did so in future.
