To get an AMAZON mastercard?

Anyone got one? Are they decent?

I'm wobbling... So tempted but I've never done something like this before. I have one credit card which is hardly used, and is always paid off in full anyway.

Any experience - should I go for it and enjoythe loyalty points, or steer clear?

I got one and thought it was interest free on all purchases and in actual fact its just interest free on amazon purchases, must of misread it! make sure you don't do the same!

Do like the way its free phone customer services number though and you can also text to get balance and transaction info

I've got one. Am happy with it so far.. I think they offered me a £15 discount on an Amazon order so signed up. The trick with credit cards (I find) is never to remember or even look at the pin number so I can't use it willy nilly in shops. I only use my credit cards for internet purchases and big holiday purchases etc as they offer more protection in the event of fraud etc. And I pay them off by direct debit every month.

If it's all online statements how do you pay it off? Do you need online banking or something (I dont)

You just ring them up and say you want to set up a DD and give them your bank details. Easy peasy.

I have one, set up a direct debit to pay the balance off in full each month, I put all my monthly shopping on it and so regularly collect my £10 vouchers for more amazon goodies :o

Yes I have 1. Just got it for Amazon purchases. Think I got £1o0 to spend at Amazon too so worth it.

If you have a DD to pay off in full each month does that mean you dont get interest?

Yep :o and for every £1 spent on Amazon you get 1 "point" and every £2 spent elsewhere gets you 1 point (I think) once you have 1000 points you get a £10 amazon voucher.
