I have bought Tesco Children's Chewable Multivitamins and Minerals for my children for ages but was annoyed that the ingredients on my last buy of 3 (they were on special offer) have changed without any warning. The vitamins are now 'yucky' (leave a horrid after-taste in the mouth). Tesco are now using the cheaper ferrous sulphate (the iron is not as easily absorbed) rather than the superior ferrous fumarate. Worryingly the new container says it is 'free from fish' and vegetarian although the previous line just said it was vegetarian. As fish are animals, saying a product is vegetarian AND fish free doesn't make sense. I will be really annoyed if the previous batches of vitamins did have fish in. Surely you need to show when you have put new ingredients in to an old line, especially when packet that looks exactly the same? What about allergies?
