The wife is being unreasonable

15 minutes ago she said " We are going to do T'ai Chi."

I That was not a request. No negotiations.

I assume it is gentle; so why not give it a try.

How is DW being unreasonable?

She's told you that you're going to do something. You think 'why not give it a try'?

Where's the issue? If you didn't want to do it and she physically forced you to salute the sun, that might be a problem. Not very T'ai Chi like though.

If you referred to me as "THE wife" then assumptions about a hobby would be the least of your worries.

LostArtOfKeepingASecret · 12/02/2011 12:58

I did T'ai Chi when I was pregnant. It's very relaxing and I slept well afterwards. Felt a prat doing it, though.

KangarooCaught · 12/02/2011 12:59

Only way to prize you from computer?

GabbyLoggon · 12/02/2011 13:00

AH, flisspaps but you dont know my wife

Blissful negotiations may still take place in advance of Valentines Day.

It would be an awful day to break up a long-term relationship.

One day Flisspap you will understand the workings of the communal hearts.

But for chicken pluckin sake, dont tell her
I rate Lauren Laverne. (That would be the last straw)

We must all learn to compromise Flisspops.

cheers "Gabby"

Gabby try it, you might really like it. There is no saluting the sun, it's much easier than yoga. And spiritual and that.

GabbyLoggon · 12/02/2011 13:06

Bogey,,
do you object to being called Humphrey (As in Bogart)

the tone is the thing not just the words.
(and why is bogey thowing her weight about?)

Lost art.

Well the tai chi sounds easy. I thought it was a chinese call girl.

Have you lot heard of Tiger Mummy? Heard an excerpt from her book on Radio 4 last night. She lost a battle with her daughter.
Ran away (literally) and came back to compromis. aaaah

Sticky

yes I will try tai chi and let you know how it goes. "Gabby"

Flisspaps · 12/02/2011 13:09

I'd just do it, sounds easier than facing the wrath of The Wife.

Especially if you think she may hear about your Lauren Laverne appreciation.

GabbyLoggon · 12/02/2011 13:11

Kangaroo Like your name much better than your (arguably) censorial comment.

I will set the famous Tiger Mummy on you. She is (allegedly) a professor.)

Ho are man u and city doing?

loopylou6 · 12/02/2011 13:13

WTF? I barely understood any of that.

GabbyLoggon · 12/02/2011 13:15

Flisspaps
If you grind the gunge with "Gabby" you must spot the tongue in cheek from the serious stuff.

TIC would be a useful addition to the initials list.

All life is a question of reading between the lines. ( Mrs Speaker.)

KangarooCaught · 12/02/2011 13:17

Are you T'ai Chi-ing and MN-ing at the same time?

Have seen pictures of Chinese people doing green open spaces in the mornings before work, it look very serene.

GabbyLoggon · 12/02/2011 13:18

LOOPY

Look up Tiger Mum on Google.(But dont take her advice on bringing up kidas.)

good Luck "Gabby"
