YANBU... report inappropriate posts and ask for them to be moved. Doesn't always work but you can try.

It drives me bonkers and I wish I had the tech skills to hack into mumsnet and file everything correctly.

However. Most people post in here because most people post in here. Everyone is in here so it is seen as the place to get most replies.

The problem is there are too many topics. Imagine a hotel with a thousand rooms and people wanting to party.

Do they go two or three to a room, to make full use of the entire hotel, or do they find where the most people are and join them? Then more people come along. Do they go to an empty room, or do they cram into the room that's the busiest and seems to be having the most fun?

MNHQ trying to break mn down into every possible topic of conversation and give each a segment is not working.
