You know the ones, the BT 'is she pregnant' type thing. The lastest one to feel my wrath is the honey one about the staff making their own adverts.

No, I don't want to go online and watch loads of adverts. No, I don't want to vote for my favourite and no, I don't want 'interact' with your company in this way.

Please, just make an advert, show it on the telly and, if it's good it might make me want to buy your product.

AIBU in thinking that these lazy overpaid advertising people are just taking the proverbial?

Oh dear, maybe I should just invest in a Midsummer Murders boxset or something then Grin!

I shall miss Tom Barnaby. Does anyone know a Cully? Never heard it apart from Midsomer.

funtimewincies · 11/02/2011 12:41

Calley, yes. Cully, no. Grin

Just watch BBC. We can't receive any other English channels so DD didn't know what she wanted for christmas. No adverts=no idea.
We do get Dutch and French ones, no language ability = no idea what they are advertising.

Grin kreecher. The dc are only 4 and 1 so it's CBeebies only at the moment. I'm dreading the point where they discover the pre-Christmas marketing machine.

I know I shouldn't let it bother me but it's so shallow and 'look, we're your best friends' on TV at the moment.

Maybe more Wine would help.
