which aren't mine.
for 18months we rented a house. The previous owners did a runner leaving debts behind them. I spent the 18 months keeping the bailiff away. I returned all letters, told callers that they no longer lived at the address, answered the door to the police who came looking for them, answered call from solicitor looking for next of kin as one of them died whilst I was trying to rid myself of them. A well know high street bank called me 14 days a day for about 3 weeks looking for them because of a bank account, automated thing and I couldn't get them to cut the damn thing off. With 3 toddlers 14 phone calls a day is enough to drive anyone insane!
We've moved home, bought our own place, been here 2 months and guess what. Messages for some unknown person about the debts they had promised to pay and haven't!!!!
I appreciate times are hard, I appreciate that people struggle and sometimes it gets out of hand but why do I have to pick up their mess?
