I watched part of the clip of the mum punishing her son on another thread yesterday and the sound of the little boy's cries kept me awake last night.

Today, all I want to do is cuddle DD. All she wants to do is run away, she thinks I am playing chase. She has gone to bed exhausted from all the chasing but I want to pick her up and cuddle her. However, I also want to spend an hour MNing cleaning so wont.

AIBU.

(Yes, I know this is not really an AIBU but I bet lots of you feel the same Wink )

i havent seen the clip and to be honest i wouldnt want to.

Cuddle her away and get her to bed early as she tired from your love!

you sound like a lovely mummy :)

Yes I feel the same. I also want to cuddle your DD Grin

Nah, I do know what you mean. It's like when there's a big news story or a national disaster, it just makes me cuddle my kids and husband a lot tighter.

I spend an awful lot of time moaning on here but when push comes to shove, seeing people hurting makes me realise that everyone in my life is really important to me.

Haven't seen the clip but in the past fortnight I've had my last Grandparent die, a friend with children the same age as mine have a second op to remove Cancer and another friend have a stillborn Son Sad

My children are all cuddled out

Blatherskite, that is a lot to deal with, having your own sadness and supporting friends. I think I am really lucky to have DD and DH to cuddle when things upset me (is that really selfish?), otherwise I would probably go and find my mum and cuddle her!

Keep cuddling.

I should probably have a good cry about it but just can't seem to. Probably for the best as I'm not sure I could stop. It's all so shitty and unfair Sad

Probably not helping that I'm halfway through reading "Room" too. Fab book and I have to know how it ends now but in retrospect, not a wise choice.

Well that's a mistake for starters. Go and buy heat magazine, some light relief Smile

Hope things turn around for you soon.
