Please do tell me if I am being a bitch! I know this is all very petty but anyway..

DP and I don't live together and I was supposed to go to his tonight after he played footie and I went to the gym. We wouldnt have got to his til late and I knew he'd be so I skipped my gym session (i did want to go ... really) and went home and made a really lovely meal which we had on our anniversary and took me an hour and a half to make. Had a shower and got all ready for him. When he turned up he had been accidentally hit in the face in the match and had a swollen lip. He said it didnt hurt but I got some ice on it for him. He had also cut his elbow a bit. DP is a bit of a hypochondriac, totally freaks out when injured, uses A&E like a doctors surgery. He decided he wanted to go home immediately and got really arsey when i asked if he minded if i ate mine quickly (he didnt want to eat) before we left, thinking i could go to his and look after him. He ended up leaving and I told him i was pissed off that i had spent my evening making a nice meal and he couldnt even wait for me to put it in a tupperware box... all for a bloody swollen lip. Fair enough if his leg was hanging off! He now thinks I am massive bitch for not seeing it from his perspective. So am i?! Yes I didnt call an air ambulance, but seriously, a swollen lip?!

God what a baby! (him not you)

Shodan · 07/02/2011 21:29

Pah.

I got hit in the mouth a week ago Thursday (I do karate) and got a swollen lip and kicked in the groin which still feels bruised. And I only whinged a tiny bit to DH and I'm a girl.

He's a wuss. And a big girl's blouse, to boot.

Suggest he tries ballet instead.

SecondMrsS · 07/02/2011 21:31

Eurghh, get rid.

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 07/02/2011 21:34

PMSL tell him to man up or fuck off.

Grandmar · 07/02/2011 21:35

Totally agree

HecateQueenOfWitches · 07/02/2011 21:38

Does he want his mummy to kiss his boo-boo better.

Bloody hell.

Tell him to strap on a pair.

PinkIceQueen · 07/02/2011 21:38

YANBU, he is, obviously!

ChaoticAngelofAnarchy · 07/02/2011 21:39

YANBU He's being pathetic.

My ex is a hypochorondiac, so was his dm so maybe I'm not the most sympathetic but he's a wuss.

Mumcentreplus · 07/02/2011 21:43

What a baby!..lmao Grin ...he will think deeeply tommorow and realise his wimpish ways I thinkWink

Mumcentreplus · 07/02/2011 21:44

If not... tease him about his 'fractured' lip Grin

purplepidjin · 07/02/2011 21:49

I took a right hook while out with a resident recently. Proper swollen, and in the middle of town. I walked the person back to the home, and completed the remaining 8 hours of my shift.

He is a big fat wussy pile of wet blanket Grin

sahara13 · 07/02/2011 21:49

YANBU and you are def not a bitch! He certainly needs to be grovelling in the morning if not sooner!

jenga079 · 07/02/2011 21:56

What a wimp! YANBU!!!

Is there any food left? I'm starving... Wink

GloriaSmut · 07/02/2011 22:39

Presumably he chooses to play football. Therefore he has to accept it can be a rough game and man up a bit. Also, if his swollen lip didn't hurt, why on earth did your evening have to turn into an episode of Casualty? Wuss!

spanners80 · 07/02/2011 22:46

oh I lol'd!!

You're not a bitch... all that for a fat lip??! Ok, if YOU'D given him the fat lip he'd have cause for complaint.

saffy85 · 07/02/2011 22:50

Smother that fat lip of his in TCP- then he'll really have something to moan about Grin

Or you could promise you'll talk to the other player's mummies so they play nice in future.

Jenda · 07/02/2011 22:57

Thank you lovely people, was feeling real guilt here for a moment! Texting now- sticking to neutral topics since he asked how dinner was and I replied "in the bin"... hope he is squirming.

Have "man up or fuck off" line ready for next injury!

Nah, don't swear at him. Just make a really hot spicy chilli and insist he eats it

TimeToStartACHEEKYDiet · 07/02/2011 23:23

Wimp - keep it and put it in the microwave for tomorrow Wink
