I'm told that the teeth-dissolving blob of luridly coloured, icing-like goo, wrapped in something that might once have been chocolate is a triumph of confectionery. I'm told it, but I don't believe it. AIBU?

Short of neat saccharin, there's not a lot that comes close in the sweet-stakes. I thought, as we got older, we were meant to enjoy more challenging flavours like scotch whisky, blue cheese, red wines and fiery curries!! Dark chocolate is for grown-ups, surely....?

they used to be lovely. but since cadburys was brought by kraft they have altered the recipe and also use a new oil rendering them disgusting. il never buy cadburys again after the taste shift. american choc is urgh

The best way to eat them is straight from the fridge, when the chocolate is cold and reassuringly hard. Brings out the flavour.

Well - thanks to you lot, I bought a creme egg when I went shopping this afternoon, and I am now going to get it out of the fridge and eat it in front of the tv.

This year, as ever, I am hoping that it will be sweet and delicious and am therefore bound to be disappointed.

Yanbu. They feel like a mouthful of wet concrete. I get a gag reflex thinking about them.

But then I also hate Jaffa cakes and everyone likes them too (horrid, bitter and can't make up their minds if they're a soggy biscuit or a stale dry cake)
