Is it something similar to in-app purchases?

If so, it's not exactly news, in that it's not new; but it is something which should be much better publicised.

[I heard of it first in an old MN thread! And very glad I disabled it before DCs started on that sort of game].

Grin typical DM type photos of the outraged parent and the sad child... (bloody big 11yr old)

I just love how people bring attention to their stupidity by contacting the press with articles such as these. Its a never-ending source of amusement to me.

ThePosieParker · 07/02/2011 17:04

Silly woman, what did she expect?

As an aside I copied the link, nearly all of it and came up with "Gypsy family of 14 who live on benefits 'ruin their £1.2m London council house and make life hell for neighbours'" by mistake, I can't think of a headline more suited to the Daily Mail and anticipate a banquet of Diana would love...type headlines when Will's Wedding comes around.

MrsRichardHammond · 07/02/2011 17:05

The daily mail makes me laugh i have to say!

Over a period of 18 months why has she only just checked her credit card statements. What a numpty.

MrsBananaGrabber · 07/02/2011 17:25

My DS2 (7) spent $250 on apps for my I pod when I was in hospital having DD and my mother was looking after him, it was just before Christmas as well. He spent $100 of that on buckets of Smurfberrys? for some game he downloaded. I could ahve killled him Angry

Same here. I got the same page. What a bizarre wax work of Prince William.Shock

ThePosieParker · 07/02/2011 17:29

Quite....it looked a little melted!!

TotemPole · 07/02/2011 17:34

^but like others before her, failed to capture William?s exact likeness.

Instead the Prince has a slightly elongated head, a cheesy grin and his eyes look to be a little close together.^ GrinGrin

Off to the Tower with the artist.

OTheHugeManatee · 07/02/2011 17:37

That child looks as though it could do with a bit less xbox and a bit more running around.

Ariesgirl · 07/02/2011 17:41

The Daily Mail used to make me laugh as well, MrsRichardHammond. But I have gradually come to the conclusion that it is a hate-filled, hateful, racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, sexist, celebrity obsessed, homophobic, reactionary, poisonous, badly written little rag favoured by virtual illiterates. How it has the audacity to call itself a newspaper is beyond the realms of my comprehension.

I'm not really a fan Grin
