Found it so fascinating thought it might be fun to ask what are your most precious possessions:

In the kitchen

In the bedroom

In the bathroom

In the shed

Of your kids

Jewellery-wise (excluding wedding rings)

Mine:

In the kitchen - my kenwood mixer, I am a gadget gal and try to cook/bake something every day. It is always out as is my breadmaker

In the bedroom - our superkingsize leather sleigh bed. Saved hard for this, a real treat, looooove it

In the bathroom - my razor Blush

In the shed - my lovely big american fridge. too big for the new kitchen so DH bought a shed for it Grin I love him

Of your kids - the paintings my mum has done for their bedrooms and their in-car dvd's...nuff said

Jewellery-wise - two bits of costume jewellery. a broach from my lovely nanny and a string of pearls from my dads mum who died when I was 2 (my earliest memory is of her face looking down at me Smile). Strictly speaking they are my sisters but I wore them on my wedding day and they 'lodge' with us for now

Kitchen - my steamer
Bedroom - my Adjustamatic bed
Bathroom - my new one!
Shed - not my domain so who knows what's in there?
Kids - picture of my son in Canada
Jewellery - none

Ooopsadaisy · 06/02/2011 12:25

Kitchen - wine

Bedroom - Funky Monkey (this is not a sex-toy - it is a soft toy bought for me by dcs when I was poorly in 2000)

Bathroom - huge walk-in shower.

Shed - cat - she won't come out - don't ask - mentally deranged creature.

Kids - Their treasure boxes. Full of memories, baby teeth, cards, baby clothes, school reports, swimming badges, sports awards, photos etc.

Jewellery - I have none. Only cheap costume jewellery, small stud earrings that I've worn for over 20 years and a cheap watch. Nothing sentimental or precious or inherited. Just not my thing.

RustyBear · 06/02/2011 17:26

kitchen - nothing at all-would cheerfully let it all go up in flames. I quite like my new fridge-freezer, but it's not at all precious

Bedroom - my memory foam mattress and the original rustybear

Bathroom - a small blue & white glass dolphin DD gave me

Shed -don't have one, lots of stuff in the garage but none of it precious, or it wouldn't be out there

Kids - photos

jewellery - my mum's engagement ring, which she left me, but it's still with my dad in his house, as I didn't want to take it away

Most of my precious stuff is in the sitting room (which oddly you didn't ask about) - especially the patchwork picture of a cockerel which my mum made before she died, and of course my iPad

MoonGirl1981 · 06/02/2011 17:31

Oooooo, forgot jewellery - a purple rabbit cake topper that my son gave me as a ring. Wore it until it broke but have still kept it!

:)
