Just seen one called "Wonga.com". They're no better than loansharks! 4000% APR?? How this is legal I will never know. Just targets the desperate (put Brighthouse in the same bin while you're at it!)and encourages them into more debt which they can't afford.

I hate the way it makes it look so happy, easy and simple to get money!

Let's ban baby formula adverts, but allow this cuntage. Who makes the rules up???

I know how you feel. I have been training my 2yo DS to say 'Death to Wonga' when it comes on.They are never too young to learn.

It all shows such little respect and value for money. Calling it "wonga" for a start, then making it look like it's as easy to get as a pint of milk and a newspaper.

Gaaaaaah! Off with their heads.

YANBU... I thought we'd got rid of this kind of 'Ocean Finance' shameless debt-pushing once the credit-crunch hit. Thought people could see through this racket for what it is. Squeaking the APR onto the screen in legal-minimum-size lettering, happy actors, sunlit rooms, timed for when desperate people (mostly women) with no money are likely to be watching.

BTW... do you know that in a survey recently a significant number of people thought that the higher the APR the better the deal? Just thought I'd lob that one in.

It is just so irresponsible to be advertising like that ! And the ones that really make me see red are the ones who use a known face - somehow if Carol Vorderman is advertising it, she must know a good deal kind of thinking ...

While I am ranting - the other thing that really gets my goat is the 3 years interest free when really if you don't pay exactly before the time is up you get saddled with 3 years of debt at an extortionate APR ...

Chil1234 - that is quite scary!
