Was he being unreasonable.?

He said "Everyone likes flattery. With royals, pile it on with a trowel"

Does everyone really like flattery?
I have me doubts.

the dude who said it was Disraeli, a PM from yonks ago. They called him "Dizzy" and he wrote love stories.

cheers "Gabby"

I prefer Churchill's famous saying:

Woman: (offended by something Churchill had said) "Sir! You are drunk!"
Churchill: "Madam! You are ugly. But tomorrow I shall be sober!"

Love it!

I think that involved bessie Braddock a famous Liverpool MP If she said it in the Commons, they probably asked her to withdraw.

Thats why you dont get classy insults there;even though a lot of the Mps dislike each other.
