Katiekitty · 31/01/2011 22:02

Meant to add: Trolly I did spot a small packet, zip-loc top of tiny, weeny Jammie Dodgers. Normal flavour, none of this exotica your Asda has Envy

I have lots of Party Rings! They were BOGOF in Iceland Waitrose

SarahTonin · 31/01/2011 22:09

I too am a fan of the Jam Mallow (Mallow Minge as it will now be known to me for eternity) but in it's most inferior form - my local Londis has some form of own brand Jam Mallows that for me, are the Jam Mallows par excellence. It must be the added preservatives.

Rich tea biscuits are known as Lionels in this house.

Hmmm...just wondering who gets to invent thses biscuits? Surely we could do better? What elements of all other biscuits could be combined deliciously into a Killer Biscuit - The Biscuit of Biscuits - the Biscuit to end all Biscuits. It would definitely have jam. And maybe peanuts.

Beachholiday Yes, I've done the Penguin Trick! (I was inspired by watching Natalie Imbruglia and Graham Norton do it on telly one night)

Oh. My. God.

Fanbloodytastic. I hadn't mentioned it before because I wasn't sure if the individually wrapped, chocolate covered type biscuits were considered to be in the same class as your custard creams and jammy dodgers.

Grin Homework for tomorrow: Obtain a Penguin Biscuit and perform the experiment as per Beachholiday's instructions. Report your findings back here.

katiekitty - I hadn't remembered jam or filling, but there could have been. I just remember the colour, and I'm sure monsters featured either on the packaging or on the adverts.

Sadly I can vaguely remember a biscuit advert from when I was about 5 - they were called Rondello biscuits and were advertised as being quiet! (I think they were like those posh wafer curls or langues du chat that you get in biscuit selection boxes, those really light ones) I remember the ad because of saying to my mum they were good because I could eat them in the morning and not wake anyone up! :)

Housemum · 02/02/2011 13:38

Googling rondello didn't find a pic, but some guy from Inspiral Carpets liked them too - in a Sun biscuit survey of "famous" people Biscuits

Anzac biscuits yum yum.

And is it just me or have McVities CHANGED THE CHOCOLATE on their plain choc digestives? Shock
