to go to bed?

DD (19 months) has been really sick tonight. Vomited about 10 times. She is now asleep on me on the sofa, has been asleep for about an hour, not a peep and no sick since she drifted off.

At what point can I safely put her to bed? I'm pregnant so knackered, and can't possibly stay up all night. DH will agree to stay up then will fall asleep, he has no staying power whatsoever.

It might be worth noting that each time she has been sick (apart from the first, when it was in her sleep and woke her) she has done silently, so the monitor would be of no help. I already took her into my bed, where she was promptly sick, hence now being on the sofa. DH asleep in spare room.

Poor little mite.

You would have thought that after an hour she'll be in a pretty deep sleep, if she was going to be sick again she would have done it by now?

Is she still in a cot?

The only thing I can think of to put your mind at rest is to move her cot into your room, if it's not too much trouble this time of night.

Only prob would be getting sleeping DH up to do it...phone him? (which is what I'd do Grin)

Ah brilliant idea, put travel cot in room. You're a genius, thanks! I'll get him to do it somehow! Thank you, you know when you're too tired to think properly? :)

Have you managed to change your bed?

I would take her up and put her in your bed on a big towel I think. If you are worried about her being sick in the sleep, perhaps put a pillow or rolled up towel behind her to keep her on her side? But hopefully she'll have a nice long sleep now she's stopped being sick, poor thing.

Cross posted. Yes, travel cot better idea Grin

Hope you manage to get some sleep.

Will she take a little bit of something to drink?

She must have nothing left in her after 10 times Sad

Thanks Agent, it always seems to be you when I need help in the middle of the night, are you an insomniac?
Put the travel cot up but she wouldn't go in it, she ended up sleeping in bed with me, was sick another 5-6 times but not much, stopped around 4 and has been OK since. Sleeping again now, she's knackered, bless her.
Thank you so much for your help and moral support. :)

Grin Not an insomniac, I like to make an effort at the weekend to get some drinking time in with DH where we're not just mummy and daddy.

Hope it passes quickly for your DD, horrible when they're so small.
