Back in the old days, if you wanted to browse a large range of threads in London, John Lewis was absolutely marvellous.
They have all but closed the 'habby' section, and have built a supermarket in the basement.
The ones they stock nowadays are rather sombre in colour, and not quite as good quality.
They don't have threads like they used to...
