To get my knickers in a twist when Aibu is incorrectly used?

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 29/01/2011 23:53

A right old knickers in a twist wedgie.
I may be being mildly unreasonable but for fucks sake-there is a chat section for 'what is your favourite colour' and pregnancy for 'omg- I'm feeling a bit off'
aibu is for the juicy stuff surely??

Mad MIL's, naughty DH's, loopy cars salesmen, horny postmen, anal..

I know I'm not technically the queen of AIBU but please can all not aibu threads fuck off please?

AIBU is the new chat

FabbyChic · 29/01/2011 23:55

Who cares? Seriously does it really matter? When it is slow on here it gives me something else to read cos this is the only board I look at.

MardyBra · 29/01/2011 23:56

YANBU - it annoys me too. I want to see a good bunfight on here. Why don't people just post in chat ffs.

MsKLo · 29/01/2011 23:57

If you don't like them ignore them

You are right you are not the queen of aibu so no, you can't make the rules!

Ladies - and gents - post whatcha want and ignore this grouchy op!

MrsNonSmoker · 29/01/2011 23:58

Is this the right room for an argument?

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 29/01/2011 23:59

I might just start my own bunfight- I remember a thread where we actually had a bunfight about buns

OP posts:
DirtyMartini · 30/01/2011 00:05

Wow, really?

I prefer iced finger buns - NOT pink - and anyone who disagrees can FUCK OFF

TheSleepFairy · 30/01/2011 00:08

a bunfight about buns?

I prefer eclairs

LemonDifficult · 30/01/2011 00:12

YANBU or maybe YABU but I kind of can't help but agree with you.

The 'AIBU or is this skirt quite a fashionable length?' thing is a little grating. I can't really work out why. I am very conventional though.

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 30/01/2011 00:13

Right dirty marttini and sleepfairy
I'm the fucking queen here, and I say that...

A hot cross bun, toasted with an ounce of lurpak is the best bun.

What about the anal threads, I miss those SO much

eg-

OP-my dh really wants to shag me in my back bottom, but won't it hurt/make him gay?

Responses - nah fuck it, let the poor bugger roger you just the once/'omg LEAVE immediatly, you are being abused

It's not the same on Saturday nights :(

OP posts:
MardyBra · 30/01/2011 00:14

is this the sort of thing you mean OP?

TragicallyHip · 30/01/2011 00:15

Really? A bun fight about buns, that can't have been too exciting!

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 30/01/2011 00:17

Mardybra (welldone on the name, I like it)

YES!!!!!!!!!

Argh- that is what prompted my huffy knickers elastic chafing post.

OP posts:
Ladyofthehousespeaking · 30/01/2011 00:18

It was a wonderful moment tragicallyhip :(

MardyBra · 30/01/2011 00:22

third time lucky?

tigerbear · 30/01/2011 00:24

YANBU - some totally pointless AIBU threads, I agree!
AIBU to want a chocolate bar?
AIBU to go shopping?
AIBU to want to read a book?

Fucking think for yourselves, FFS!
(sorry for the swearing!)

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 30/01/2011 00:31

INDEED!

Links arms with mardybra and tigerbear

YANBU and I can I add to the list the thinly disguised "Oh isn't my toddler so cute" AIBUs.

TrillianAstra · 30/01/2011 13:49

I am happy for anyone to use AIBU for any frivolous thing - as long as their title asks a question.

"Am I being unreasonable to.....?"

"Am I being unreasonable about....?"

not "Am I being unreasonable that...."

pagwatch · 30/01/2011 13:55

Yanbu

When someone uses aibu to post something which is clearly not unreasonable I assume they are a bit needy and lame.

But I may be being unreasonable.......

southeastastra · 30/01/2011 13:56

i have to say i dislike it when people post really quite interesting or serious issues in aibu. there are so many topics on here that i find it quite annoying.

everything in it's place etc.

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 30/01/2011 14:52

Indeed!

OP posts:
TickettyBoo · 30/01/2011 15:49

YANBU, it does seem confusing - there's one today about when we didn't have mobile phones - nothing to do with a question of "AIBU?"
