I think it was amistake - it seems to be used for all the wrong reasons. For example the shiney crew feeling they ought to post on there because people were complaining about them being a clique - that seems wrong to me, MN is public and nobody should feel they have to retire to a private area. And the BoM thread which is full of personal attacks and insults - people seem to retire onto that thread to make the sort of remarks they wouldn't make on the main boards

I think it should be got rid of. What does everyone else think?

Can I just say that I have been following this whole debacle for the last couple of days and I would like to thank BoF and nominate her and dp for the 'Most Excellent Timing to Release Paintings' award. It has made me absolutely cry with laughter seeing people try desperately to concentrate on arguing but inevitably being completely knocked off course by rude paintings.

Someone inboxed me today to let me know about the new thread. I never have been anywhere near or posted on the stepparents board.

Bof I would be tempted to start a ruck just to get another viewing, but I won't because even though I am a stepmum from the BoM thread I am nice .

I would though like to join mj here and make an apology for what happened on the old thread, there was a story behind why it descended into a 'bitchfest' as some have put it, but we shouldn't have allowed it to happen. I am equally sorry that the OP had to start this thread and drag up other innocent parties into the open.

So in OTBT we will stay, on our best behaviour, minding our own business, and making proper use of PM.
