To think that all minicab drivers' addresses should be publically available so we can GO OUTSIDE THEIR F**KING HOUSES AND BEEP AT ALL HOURS...

oh dear.

What time did they wake you up then?

Phone the council. There may be restrictions on this? I don't know.

I don't know why taxi firms don't give the person who booked the taxi a quick ring when the cab is about to arrive or have the taxi driver hop out and knock on the door if the person isn't waiting outside.

I mean, they sit on their arses all day, the exercise would do them good. Wink

I'm with you OP (though not about the addresses lol)

I live opposite a cul de sac...about 20 houses with a long bottle neck and it's pedestrian only...therefore not just taxi drivers but anyone who can't be bothered to get off their arses for a second to leave the car, just sits there leaning on the car horn at all hours Hmm

There are restrictions - it's no beeping between the hours of 11 and 7am.

Heroine · 28/01/2011 16:51

I think it should be revised to be 'if a minicab driver beeps to alert a passenger he is waiting between 11pm and 7am citizens have the lawful right to heave a f'in brick through the windscreen...'

Our taxi firm sends a text to tell you what car is coming and then a text when it arrives.

Would get right on my tits if they honked their horn all night!
