Plastic Free Week 31st Jan - 6th Feb

I am so tired of plastic everywhere. It is in everything I buy even if it is unnecessary packaging.
Inspired by a conversation with my DSs about sea turtles consuming and dying from plastic bags, I've decided to challenge friends and family to a plastic free week - no buying ANYTHING with plastic in it or on it. I'm off to my green grocer instead of the big markets, ordering milk delivered instead of buying plastic bottles, and to the local butcher and baker with my own containers...
But why stop with friends and family? I've asked Greenpeace to join me and put an open invitation on Facebook. Can you do it too?
It's basically an experiment and will hopefully open your eyes to just how much plastic you consume as a family - directly and indirectly!

Perhaps ONE stay at home mum can't make a difference, but an ARMY of them?!?

You're very lucky to have a local Green Grocer, Butcher and Baker. They're a thing of the past here.

I could however buy a car and drive a few miles in two different directions to shop at the nearest ones though.

Good luck anyway Smile

We have milk delivered at work. It's delivered in the same plastic jugs as I buy at Tesco. Just so you know.
