My daughter is 11 weeks and truly lovely. Being a parent is hardwork but wonderful. I have been burgled recently and had my car stolen. That has taken up alot of time on the phone and left me a bit house bound. My Mum (who has cancer) is very ill in hospital and I see her every night (baby has bottle of expressed milk). I love my Mum and if this is her last few days on this earth I want to be with her but why now ?.
Life can be such a bitch.

Sorry that you've had a tough time lately, flickor, but you'll have your daughter for a long time. You love your Mum; prioritise your attention where it needs to be so that you don't have regrets.

flickor so sorry to hear about your Mum, what a lot to deal with.

Remember you have years ahead of you with your daughter, and tbh ime it just gets better and better.

I would see your mum a lot but maybe not everynight partly as youw ill be exhausted and no good for anyone.

Explain to her that you need time but will still come lots.

My fil was dying when ds was a baby - dp took the baby to be with his dad a lot in the last few weeks. It was lovely - it made such a difference to everyone having a baby around. Don't underestimate the impact of an 11 week old on a family.

But I aree - life can be a bitch.
