To think I'm going crazy???

So we are sitting on the sofa watching the tv, all nicely and calmly. The dog wanders over and as she tries to jump up for a cuddle, DP bends down to stroke her, which obviously results in a massive dog-to-DPs-nose impact, which really isn't funny...

Except that I immediately burst into hysterical laughter, and I mean absolutely hysterical. Followed closely by sobbing, equally historically.

Am I losing the plot? DP just looked at me for a while and then said "wierdo" and walked away!

*hysterically. Not quite a historical amount of sobbing, but the night is young...

Hysterical crying? Hummmm could it be pmt or early pregnancy or have you been bereaved or had a bad day? I have no idea, it takes a lot for me to cry tbh. I don't think you are crazy though fwiw.

Maybe you haven't cried in ages and it needed to be let out?

I think your dp's reaction was a bit harsh though, a cuddle wouldn't have hurt even if there is nothing wrong!

Curlybrunette · 27/01/2011 21:23

I am very sorry that your dp has been injured but I am giggling away at your post.

Think dp saying 'weirdo' was the funniest bit!!!

saffyronron · 27/01/2011 21:26

Sorry but that's hilarious. You're ok, it was just a moment of hysteria. I think....

RoyalWelsh · 27/01/2011 21:27

What's eeeven worse is I am sitting across the living room sniggering as I type and he has withdrawn to his computer.

Clearly I'm having one of those days... Although pregnant Would be nice

How funny. Clearly hubby knows you too well.

LoveMyGirls · 27/01/2011 21:36

Ohhhh will this turn into a POAS thread?

I must be tired I completely didnt see the bit where your dp got hurt. oops!

Guitargirl · 27/01/2011 21:38

Something similar happened to me the other day. I had put up lots of decorations for DS's birthday - including some sparkly strings of stars hanging in the doorway to the living room. The day after the birthday had had a crap and stressful day. Then, DP walked through them, got tangled up in the whole lot and started swearing under his breath in his mother tongue (not English). For some reason I found that absolutely hilarious and as I laughed till I cried I could feel all this tension releasing. He also found it funny then - luckily!

RoyalWelsh · 27/01/2011 21:46

Guitargirl - I'm glad it's not just me!

What's a POAS thread?

I'm quite glad I had my little outburst now, I'm watching kirstie and phil and feeling nicely blissed out

Ooh and in terms of being pregnant, I've had horrific heartburn today and yesterday and have been scuttling off to the loo every other hour when normally it's rare that I go more than five times a day

POAS is pee on a stick (do a test do a test!!)

Going to the loo loads is def a symptom! I think heartburn is usually later on but hey everyone is different!

Curlybrunette · 28/01/2011 20:23

Finger's crossed for you x x x x

blondepinhead · 28/01/2011 21:26

Ooh, I had god-awful heartburn from about 2-3 weeks pregnant till about 18. I know another mum who was the same.

Do a test!!!

blondepinhead · 28/01/2011 21:27

18 weeks.

RoyalWelsh · 29/01/2011 17:51

I'm far too nervous to do a test! It would be amazing if I was, but I'm supposed to start my period in ten days, so I will live in hope until then.
