to worry over the plight of the Vegimals?

DS calls them "the servers," which got me thinking: Are we to believe that these poor creatures are acting solely out of some intense, altruistic desire to please the Octonauts like some kind of nuns of the sea? Hmm Or could it be something more sinister slavery, perhaps? And what just what is Miomi trying to imply with their half-vegetable lineage?

Could this be setting a Shock Bad Example for the Children?

DirtyMartini The cake just makes me feel inadequate. I am telling myself all but the bottom bit MUST be fondant-covered styrofoam...

"I made the octopod part of the cake in a pampered chef small batter bowl. I turned it upside down to ice it then tucked the edges onto the top when it was right side up. I cut a dip in the top so that there was a lower part for the characters to stand in then added more icing for the details inside the octopod. The arms of the octopod are made from plastic tubing which I heated to bend and then painted them black. The pods are made from half a polystyrene ball & painted then the top is made from half a platic bauble. I wanted to make the pods from cake or crispy cake but they were too heavy."

YY but don't you understand, the money we save by not having a life because we are always in watching Octonauts could be spent on paying someone to make a cake like that.

And then possibly taking the credit.

Blatherskite I have renamed all our episodes on our PVR-doodad too! So this morning when DD1 wanted the oarfish episode (despite DS going 'NOT THAT ONE AGAIN') I was able to to respond to her shouted demand polite request.

That cake is amazing. I have the batter bowl... hmmm... but not the skills, time or indeed patience.

I suspect the toys will be breakable shite though. Most tie-ins seem to be rubbish in my limited experience.
