I was in a shop recently waiting to be served and the woman at the counter in front of me was blocking the shop assistant's access to behind the counter. She smiled to the shop assistant as she let her past and said "My bad!". I think I visibly cringed.

Okay then, Aussies can say 'awesome' too then Wink . But no adult Brits, under any circumstances!

Changing2011 · 27/01/2011 14:40

I do the dad thing - he calls me Mom as well Blush

RatherBe · 27/01/2011 14:40

Ohforfoxsake - yes! Especially because it is always said by people who never say anything amusing anyway!

Mammie81 · 27/01/2011 14:41

I have a friend who always overshares on FB. After a particularly intimate post, instead of deleting her I wrote a status for her on her wall. 'xxx is picking her nose and scratching her fanny'

EauRouge · 27/01/2011 14:47

A few of my friends on facebook have said 'nom nom nom' about something they are eating. These people are in their 30s.

Lovetheskinurine · 27/01/2011 14:47

I hate 'Wicked'. Soo many people use it and to me it just sounds embarrassing.

mumbar · 27/01/2011 14:47

Me too: re chillax Grin

TotemPole · 27/01/2011 14:47

Changing2011 & thumbdabwitch, thanks, I don't use it.

I don't get why people want to share every aspect of the their lives on the internet. Some of their FB friends probably aren't real life friends. I find it odd.

deepheat · 27/01/2011 14:48

"All my friends tell me I'm crazy"

You're not crazy. You're a twat.

mumbar · 27/01/2011 14:49

I say school night too. BUT in my defense DS goes to school and I work in one. Grin

Changing2011 · 27/01/2011 14:50

"thats how we roll"

oh fuck off.

StealthPolarBroccoli · 27/01/2011 14:50

See below for exemption if you work in one
:o

MizzHyde · 27/01/2011 14:51

Oh. Em. Gee.
This thread is utterly dedding me.
I need to pop out and chillax somewhere.
I would try to join in but can't think of anything to contribute - epic fail.
Methinks time for some cake. Nomnomnom.

Grin
purpleandpink · 27/01/2011 14:51

Oh and I forgot...... "Blue sky thinking" - makes me want to heave!

mumbar · 27/01/2011 14:53

Grin Although the school night thing did backfire when talking to friends about sex. One mentioned a particulary suacy night a few nights previously, and before I Could stop myself I said 'What on a school night?' Blush Shock Grin

FanellaFidge · 27/01/2011 14:54

"Nom nom nom" When talking about food.

Mammie81 · 27/01/2011 14:55

I work hard and I play hard.

Definition play : to get drunk off your face and act like a total knob

renlovesyou · 27/01/2011 14:56

I say tup tup rather than nom nom.

Am I an outcast?

purpleandpink · 27/01/2011 14:57

Deepheat - totally agree with the "my friends tell me I'm crazy" thing. Bleugh.

dementedma · 27/01/2011 14:57

my 17 year old dd says "oh dearie me" and sounds like a little old lady of about 90. it's funny.

PigeonPair · 27/01/2011 14:57

When people are in restaurants or coffee shops and say "can I get" instead of "I would like" or similar. Don't know why it annoys me, I think it just seems very American. It's quite a recent thing - I don't remember it being around 10 years ago.
