Went to Waitrose cafe the other day. Shoot me for doing that in the first instance, but during the week they have these "children's lunchboxes" which are brilliant value, plus its clean, local, quick, not a major saga, and we needed milk.
Glad we cleared that up.
Anyway I got them a "fruit shoot" each - shoot me again (find a new spot though please). Orange for the lad, blackcurrant for the wee girl.
As I saw her banging it into the till it came up "Fresh juice £1.50".
Each, for the small size.
I pointed out that it wasn't "fresh juice" and that I suspect the average vodka jelly has seen more fruit in its time but she insisted that was the price and the correct category.
Do you think £1.50 is fair for a small sized fruit shoot?
By the way, there were little other "option" from a child's drinks point of view, the other drinks were poncey glass bottles of Elderflower bollocks and massive fizzy caffinated gubbins so best of a bad lot unless tap water I suppose, but honestly I dont think the odd Fruit Shoot in moderation is bad...apart from for my bank balance?
AIBU? What would/have you paid? Small size - not the tall one.
