Mumsnet is comparable to a very nice and comfy well fitted bra? Smile

Following the recent influx of people from 'other' forums, I decided to investigate at the source of the leakage and headed over to *mums(first time ever), only to come scrambling back when I was met by 'SISTERHOOD'? and 'HUN'? Confused
Am I right in saying that we prefer our bras unpadded?

I agree, coming here was the best thing. I got fed up with my last forum which although yes, it IS a forum dedicated to pregnancy there was a massive lack of off topic chat, with all "off topic" areas being dedicated to "vaginal prolapse" and "which toy should i buy snoflake today"

It gets a bit sickening. You reply with an honest answer and the mods are there deleting. GAH!

Also, any less than 20,000 posts and no body bothers talking to you.

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 10:54

I never did belong to any forum before but mumsnet has opened my eyes!

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 10:55

whats 'vaginal prolapse'?

OP posts:
MissyMorrison87 · 26/01/2011 11:14

Exactly!

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 20:24

Anyone brave enough to go and find out what 'vaginal prolapse' is?

OP posts:
Vajazzler · 26/01/2011 20:29

Vaginal prolapse is when your womb hangs out of your fanjo...

I think....

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 20:30

Oh Gawd wish I hadn't asked now.

Ormirian · 26/01/2011 20:30

Yes that is a vaginal prolapse. It can be fixed in sheep by sprinkling the outside in sugar to make it shrink and shoving it back in.

I kid you not Hmm

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 20:32

Eeeeeeeek!!!

OP posts:
Thelastnameleft · 26/01/2011 20:33

EEk, another one from another forum here, but not the one referred to I dont think, if its MN?

Im the same as Ilovefrogs, like it here a lot and its become part of my daily forum visiting routine.

Love the word fanjo haha!

Thelastnameleft · 26/01/2011 20:34

I meant NM not MN...curse the lack of editing options here!

friedtoacrisp · 26/01/2011 20:35

Anyone who uses the word 'hun' or 'hunnie' or 'hunni' needs taking outside and shot for being completely and utterly absurd.

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 20:36

Oh come on what do other forums have that MN doesn't?

OP posts:
Thelastnameleft · 26/01/2011 20:40

Lady, Ive been a member of my previous forum for a long long time now, I know them, they know me, its like a little comfort zone in cyberworld.

This place is massive, and I can imagine it will take me ages to get to know people here, although I already have a few favourite posters :)

TheMonster · 26/01/2011 20:40

I can't stand the use of the word 'hun'. It makes my eyes itch.

NM has a general lack of braincells about it, and everyone on it seems to be much younger than me.

crisptart · 26/01/2011 20:44

Okay I confess I've been a member of the back to front mumsnet forum for years Blush and only just discovered mumsnet. Have to say much prefer mumsnet now, loving the fact you can swear some of the posts on here are hilarious! :-) Gets well annoying on t'other one when you can't even say bitch without it turning into itch for example, or threads getting pulled just because someone disagrees with the previous poster!
Gah :-)
Oh and if I ever venture back over for a nosey I need sunglasses cos all the bright colours and tickers hurt my eyes lol! :-)

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 20:45

Body that's the impression I got very very shallow.

LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 20:48

TheMonster · 26/01/2011 20:52
Grin
LadyPumpington · 26/01/2011 21:15

What's with all the quotations also? They take themselves too seriously maybe some of us can go and loosen them up a bit.
