To be so angry at how much money HMRC seems to waste on CTC

Today I received no fewer than 4 letters from HMRC. 2 identical ones, one addressed to dh one for me from Blackpool telling us we haven't repaid our overpayment or been in touch. One from Glasgow, detailing the arrangements we have made to repay our overpayment and one from Preston asking if our estimated income on our claim was accurate.

Surely there must be a better way of administering this?? Crazy, crazy.

They'll probably be produced automatically.

I do see your point, 4 lots of paper, printing and postage.

I was thinking 3 offices, why? One to tell me I haven't been in touch, one to tell me what I agreed when I did indeed call and arrange payment!?!

we get sent 2 letters at a time to tell us we get £0

have done for few years...whats a waste of money

wonderstuff · 24/01/2011 10:11

No racheylee21 going by governments past attempts to set up computer systems that would cost billions, not work and take years..

It always baffled me when they sent me and P (now X) the identical letters about the tax credits.

I was sorting out my filing the other day and I have a rainforest of paper from the tax credits people that I need to go through.

clevercloggs · 24/01/2011 10:25

yeah we used to get about six identical letters from tax credit people

never could understand it
