dd is coming up to 20 months, and for the last few weeks has spent a fortune on bottles after she bites the teats off.

thinking about just once they are gone, they are gone

bites the teats off? What does she have? Fangs/razor sharp teeth?

BikeRunSki · 23/01/2011 21:53

YANBU

DS moved off bottles about 15 months for the same reason.

mamatomany · 23/01/2011 21:55

I want DS off my boob for similar reasons, I have bruises :(

AuntiePickleBottom · 23/01/2011 21:55

she only has 8 teeth, and god knows how she does it.

her teeth must be sharp as she has made me bleed after biting me (she bites everything atm)

Poor you mamatoomany!

Have you tried getting your naughty ds straight off boob and refusing him milky unless he behaves?

EveryonesJealousOfGingers · 23/01/2011 21:58

Sounds sensible to me although I think you can just buy teats for most bottles rather than the whole shebang?

mamatomany · 23/01/2011 22:03

He's only 7 months but he has become quite violent towards my poor old boobs. He likes to grab either side and give them a good shake and squeeze, digs his nails in and then bits like a puppy.
I have withdrawn the milky and made him eat solids the last few days and now i'm in bloody agony because i'm too full, can't win.
So back to bottles, ditch em asap, I cannot wait until DS can have a bit of a sandwich and some juice.

How about trying a hard spout - most bottle systems have them that you use on the bottle in place of the teat? I know Tommee Tippee does them.
