to think other peoples babies are ugly

I'd say that 95% of babies are ugly, I look at them in the street and think my god look at those ears, the head of that one is a perfect square shape, thats a female! etc.

Then I look at mine and he's a handsome little chap and perfect, but I'm sure as I walk down the street with him someone else is thinking my god look at those ears etc.

DS1 looked like Alfred Hitchcock although in certain lights he had just a hint of Winston Churchill about him. DS2 was the spit image of ET and the midwife actually told me off for saying so.

My 3-week old dgd is, as it happens, probably the most beautiful baby girl in the world. But I'm not biased.

There was one very attractive looking baby on the ward when ds was born. Wasn't him, though, it was the baby opposite. And no, I wasn't suffering from PND, just objective facts. Looking at the photographs 10 years later, ds simply wasn't a pretty baby. Dd was though. And funnily enough, so was I (again looking at photographs)- that one didn't last though

Most of my nephews and nieces weren't but my grandnephew is.

Thank you everyone, reading these comments has really made me laugh. At 9 months old, people still stop me and comment on my handsome twin boys - who are in fact girls!

I've never cooed over babies, I commented that ours looked like skinned rabbits (admittedly they were 10 weeks early so had no fat on them) and would laugh to myself at the horrified looks that people would give me.

My nieces all looked like cabbage patch dolls......even the neighbours commented but my DS won a baby comp at 6mnths old much to sil annoyance sil wasn't ugly...personality was. It was the only thing she couldnt buy...good looking kids lol x

Newborns mostly look weird, some are downright ugly.

DS had dry skin from being overdue, a burst blood vessel in one eye, blocked tear duct in the other eye and quite a bad case of milk spots. Oh, and cradle cap.

Of course, he grew into the most beautiful little boy in the world but for a while there...not pretty.

DD1 looked gorgeous when she was born, dd2 not really, in fact I soon as I saw her for the first time she reminded me of him minus the teeth . She is now gorgeous obviously !!!

I'm know my b/g twins were beautiful as babies, and agree with those of you who are honest enough to admit yours are ugly. The rest of you are clearly deluded. I still tell my kids they're really beautiful even though they're twelve years old now and it really makes them cringe.

Babies look like babies. Not particularly beautiful or ugly by the usual standards. It's like they're a whole different species.

When my b/g twins were born my DD was perfection. A gorgeous round, rosey red face with a little button nose and full lips, my Dad said she looked like a little apple

Because of the position they were in while in my tummy one side of my DS's face was squashed in and at first one of the doctors thought he may have a deformed face. His face eventually puffed out and he is now a very handsome 8 year old [bwink]

95% of babies are reasonably sweet, but my babies were F*ugly. They turned into cute kids, though, at least they got the trend the right way around .
