I am very happy . I can't remember the last time I spent an evening alone.

This afternoon while DS naps I'm going to read the paper in the bath. And I have bought some bloody expensive decent wine and nice food for after he goes to bed. I'm so very much looking forward to watching whatever shite telly I want. And if DS wakes in the night he can come in bed with me as DH won't be back until tomorrow.

I think I have been looking forward to this more than DH was looking forward to his weekend away...

What is wrong with your DS? I can imagine being happy if it were a cold or something he was suffering from where all you need to do is supply calpol and cuddles but not if it were something messy like D&V - too much cleaning!

He has a mild chest infection, was prem so he is a bit prone to them. Have already done one sicky wash today but I think his antibios are kicking in so hopefully he'll keep getting better.

Gosh it's such a luxury, even posting on MN at my own pace with no DH to ask what I'm doing and nag me for the laptop
