AIBU to play with building blocks all night

I've gotten hooked on minecraft, which if you think about it, is rather like playing with blocks, finding more blocks and building with them.

I just can't help myself. Yesterday evening was all spent on making a long train track with a mine cart to ride in. The night before that I ran around finding clayblocks to make brick blocks to make another part of my house.

It's such a simple game, extremely simple graphics, but awfully addictive. Should I go back to watching telly or should I stick to my childish geeky pleasures?

Ooh no, carry on! I've been playing with doll's houses (The Sims 2) pretty solidly for the last few days in all my spare time... trying to build up a whole town with different districts etc. :)

I'm sure it's better for your brain than watching TV, it requires thought etc!

My husband and both sons are totally addicted. We attempted to combat this by having a computer free night. The youngest spent his time making Creepers out of cardboard and green paper.

Oh yes... it's addictive. :)

If the kids are in bed and you've got nowt else to do then go for it! Smile

I think these 'addictions' are only a problem when they're to the detriment of relationships.
