DH is going away for a few days so once the DD's are in bed tomorrow I am all alone.
I will have free unlimited access to the remote, the best chair without bargaining, can eat what I want without sharing, mooch on MN as long as I want without being antisocial....and then I get the bed aaaaall to myself.

It became clear to me earlier that my colleagues think that this is rather a sad thing to aspire to. but they are mostly free and single students.....

AIBU.

And what else shoudl I be doing?

I love being home alone ...your night sounds perfect to me

ilythia · 20/01/2011 21:41

Doesn't it though?

it didn't help that the people I were talking to were still drunk from the night before....and I was talking about making chicken and leek risotto (DH hates leeks) and watching some nice telly.

I feel so old.

I've had one of those nights this week and one last week.

I can't believe my luck!

I've had lovely chilled out evenings (once the jobs had been done), and great nights sleep.

Just need to check when DH is away again - hope it's soon!

YANBU at all - we all deserve a bit of peace and quiet.

BTW, wine should surely feature on your list Wink

Of course wine. Minus that that will go in the risotto...

My DH went out about 2 hours ago, I spent the entire hour before this glaring at him and his friend giving them 'fuck off' vibes too!

Had a fab evening alone, watching tv, now on MN and straightening my hair reeeeeallly slowly. Dinner was a cheese toast and dessert was a milky way choc bar :o

Love love love my evenings alone.

Oh kerry, sorrySad

DH has gone. I spent the morning wandering asda in a daze and now have a huge headache but lots of lovely food.
Should really be doing some work now so I don't have to panic and do it tonight/sunday but...
