To think that resources are being wasted on underserving clubbers

It makes me very angry to think that deserving artists, are being denied venues to display their work when there are others in our society who are drinking the venues dry and giving nothing back. Please let me explain what I mean.

Where I live (and in other parts of the country too, I'm sure) there is a certain type of young women - you know the ones I mean - little clubbers who clearly model themselves on celebrities - who are provided with everything by their rich dads (except for skirt material it appears).

They think the world fancies them and it is their right to dance the night away.

Why should the breweries waste resouces on these selfish, irresponsible deadbeats who have chosen that lifestyle, at the expense of people in genuine need of emersion in the arts - the sensitive, the createive and those who through no fault of their own never managed to be any good at maths.

Hmm
PigValentine · 20/01/2011 19:48

Can you explain just a tad more?

ellesbelles79 · 20/01/2011 19:48
Biscuit
BALD · 20/01/2011 19:51

I don't understand

Could you re-post using longer words please

TIA

Rubyonthetown · 20/01/2011 19:51

Is this what you guys call irony?

Your post has made no sense whatsoever.

Perhaps resources would also be better spent teaching you how to a) spell and b) make a point quickly and concisely.

AnyFuleKno · 20/01/2011 19:52

I fail to see the connection between the two things

friedtoacrisp · 20/01/2011 19:53

One woman's deserving artist is another man's talentless showoff. Innit.

AgentZigzag · 20/01/2011 19:53

Hehe - yeah Grin

But like PV I would love to hear you explain a bit more...

bubblewrapped · 20/01/2011 19:55

how are they under serving them? are the drinks in short measures?

WhatsWrongWithYou · 20/01/2011 19:55

Er surely breweries make money off the 'selfish, irresponsible deadbeats' - if they didn't exist they'd be making money (if that's indeed what they do) off someone else, not giving it to sensitive types who are no good at maths.

But you're taking the piss anyway, aren't you?

AgentZigzag · 20/01/2011 19:56

So...?

Is there any beer on the go then?

I'm waiting...Hmm

friedtoacrisp · 20/01/2011 19:57

That rather depends on whether you are serving or under-serving of it Agent. Which is it?

Rainydaze · 20/01/2011 19:57

Artists, clubbers, breweries and maths? What's the connection, sorry?!

BellaBearisWideAwake · 20/01/2011 19:58

it's a pisstake of the scrubbers thread

giyadas · 20/01/2011 19:59

That reminds me, I have some waffles left over in the cupboard.

AgentZigzag · 20/01/2011 20:00

I'll let you know fried when I've worked out whether I think the world fancies me and I'm entitled to dance the night away (to the Bee Gees preferably) or I'm the sensitive/creative type.

StartingAfresh · 20/01/2011 20:01

I am talking about a minority of young women who have chosen, I repeat chosen, to become clubbers simply in order to drink and dance.

You come across them at the school gate, on the bus, in the local shop, at the doctor's. You can't help overhearing the sordid details of their nightlifes because they are usually shouted at a high rate of decibels due to their developed deafness from the loud music.

As for the question "Would withdrawing their clubs increase societies love for the arts"? The answer to that if it wasn't for the ease with which girls like this can access these clubs then half of them would be producing art work themselves.

Oh, a pisstake?

I feel I've bared my soul on this thread to no avail now Sad

What an idiot.

NickNacks · 20/01/2011 20:02

OHhhhhhh

I read it as

under- serving....

but i think it is supposed to say

un- deserving Hmm

tallwivglasses · 20/01/2011 20:03

There's room for both in my town. What's your problem exactly?

NickNacks · 20/01/2011 20:05

Not really..... I don't go clubbing

But i can still barely draw a stickman

You're right, OP. The breweries should expend all their resources on ME. Just ME. As long as it's cider, anyway. Grin

Rainydaze · 20/01/2011 20:06

I still don't get the connection? If they don't go clubbing they could be artists? Eh?
