Ok so its a silly one, but Im shitting myself.

I want to run away to Vegas to get married. Just me and DP. On our own. For the first time ever.

Kids are 4 & 2, and my mum and dad are happy to have them. It would be 5 nights, Mon-Fri. Tues and Weds they are at nursery, and Mn and Thurs the 4yr old is at pre school.

I dont physically think I can go and leave them for 5 nights.

Someone slap me with a wet fish please.

DO IT!!!! Deep breath and get on that plane!!!!

You can have a party when you come back and I assume that your parents will spoil look after your DCs very well while you are away.

Here comes a VERY BIG WET COD AROUND THE CHOPS!!! Grin

Most I've done is 2 nights away, but dd is 16 months.

I'm sure your dc's will have a wonderful time with dgp's. You know it is you (and dp) that will be doing all the missing Smile

Do it! Grin

GO! You'll have an amazing time, and they'll have a great time with their grandparents.

Plus, when you go on hols without the kids, coming home is far less despressing as you get to come home to them!

Everyone's a winner

Do it!!

Dh and I went to Venice for four nights when ds was almost two. It was hard leaving him, until I had my first gin on the plane Grin Mum loved having him, he was great and coming home was even better.

Besides, they will be thrilled you are married.Smile

I know how you feel but when I went away I called my 2 year old who (at his nan's) told me he was too busy to talk to me!!

Go - have the best time ever. Its only 5 days and it will be very romantic. You only live once and CONGRATULATIONS!

iamamug · 19/01/2011 19:56

Consider your face well and truly slapped!! Go and enjoy yourself -your children won't even remember it in the future but you can treasure the memories for ever x

Go for it! Youre still a couple, not just Mum and Dad - why dont you felel you can leave them?

My Mum (RIP Mum) had my DS when he was 6 when DH and I got married and went on honeymoon for a week - we had a wonderful time and so did he - the stories and fun he had staying at his Nannies lol. Plus I talked to him on the phone when I was away.
