TO Get Really Annoyed at Women Who DIther At Cashpoint Machines

Why do they do it? Is there some technology overload thing going on that has stopped them from thinking straight? I cant bear having to stand behind them when they faff about..just today a woman put her whole handbag on cashpoint front, had a good old rummage thru handbag to get to her card, asked for balance, stared for couple mins at the balance slip when it came out, put her card in again, and only then took money out. It makes me want to scream, honestly. Its not just having to wait, its the thought that are they so stupid that they dont know its not very safe, is it? a mugger would have plenty of time to lurk behind and scout you out..I mean ffs these women already know they want to get money out, why cant they have card to hand/in pocket of bag before they get to cashpoint? then its just a case of get card out, take money out, and thats it.

Sounds like you're standing too close if you can see all that. Maybe you make them nervous about getting cash out and they're hoping you go away / stop breathing down their necks?

YANBU Pisses me off too and don't get me started on people on phones at checkouts

It's not just women. ANYone who dithers at cashpoints, checkouts, leaving petrol pumps etc. is a right PITA.

Especially checkouts - you KNOW yo're going to have to pay for it, chances are you had to wait in a queue before you got to the till, why the FUCK didn't you get your purse/card/cash out THEN instead of dillying around after the till person has put it all through?

I hate cashpoint ditherers. Look, you put your card in, your PIN in and you take your money. You don't use this time to rearrange your mortgage or undertake a leveraged buyout of Santander.

I've never noticed anyone dithering at cash machines. Apart from my dad who is a ditherer.

Can I add check-in desks?

What are they all talking about for so long???? Whether the pilot is qualified?What he had for his breakfast? Who built the plane? Do they all know the check-in person and are asking after their extended family? Are they listing each item in their suitcase individually and in alphabetical order????

It's just a general faffing around I hate, not just cashpoints and not just woman though.

I usually have a capuccino while at the cash machine, by the time I remember my pin number it is usually cold though.

check in desks don't be behind me then since I end up having prodeuce various doccuments as we. Travel under differnt names and check insists on seeing each one for me then have to go through it all again at the gate and then at customs I get annoyed enough without someone sighing behind me

If you have your card out at the checkout, how do you pack your groceries?!?! And, at Tesco at least (yes, yes, dreaded MN evil Tesco, blah blah blah) if you put your card in the reader before all the groceries are through, you have to take it out any way so they can give you credit for having your own bags.

And if you sigh behind me? I go slower.

Have some patience. Take the extra 2 minutes to do some deep breathing. You'll feel better.

I am non-discriminatory about who I get pissed off with at cash points. The slow men irritate the shit out of me as well. But do go on!

Please enlighten us with your thoughts about the old, the disabled, teenagers, single mothers, ethnic minorities and lefty liberals as well. How do you find them at cash points? Are they OK as long as they are male?

Dd and I both have different surnames and travel under different nationality passports. I'm still the quickest person in the queue!

I hate ditherers anywhere. At checkout I take out purse and put on packing bit.next to me. But I have small bag so doesn't take me long.

Another one is public toilets- what are they doing in there? Can't tell me they are all pooing. Honestly some of them must get totally undressed and redressed in there.
