My dp is great when it comes to housework, really really.

If he's the last one out of bed, he makes it. If he makes a mess in the loo he cleans it.

So why oh why, when he does the dishes does he leave the washing up bowl (yes I have a bowl, I know it's minging but I need space to rinse) sat in a sink full of dirty soap suds and the plughole full of food?

Is it really that difficult to scrape the food of the plates first and rinse the sink out when you've emptied the bowl?

I have a feeling I'm being unreasonable because he's great at all other housework but this makes me physically barge him out of the way to get to the sink First so I can do it properly.

Have you ever told him how you feel?
I mean calmly, in a quiet moment.
You could start off with a positive comment about how good he is with everything and how much you appreciate him doing the washing up and then calmly, but clearly, ask him to unblock the plug hole and rinse out the sink.
Men tend not to notice these things unless they are pointed out and everyone has different priorities.
Communication is the key!!!
