To want an upstairs and a downstairs hoover?

I'm not going to, obviously - have better things to spend £200 on than an upstairs Dyson (I do like a Dyson...), like food shopping, bills and shoes for the growing DCs.

But AIBU to want an upstairs hoover, rather than having to lug ours upstairs? Have half convinced myself that if I had one, I would do more cleaning. Bus suspect this is untrue.

Can I point out, in my defence, that I am 37 weeks pregnant, and therefore experiencing slightly more difficulty getting the hoover upstairs than usual. Does that make me any less of a lazy cow ? Grin

I forget about the Roomba (or Phillip as he is known for a reason I cannot remember) because I don't use it that much. We have quite a big kitchen, (about 8 metres long by 5ish) so it takes forever to do the whole room. It also leads onto the hall with no doors so if you can't find the lighthouse thingys (as I can't!), it has to do that too. This is fine if you remember to do it when you go out but it's normally easier to get the dustpan and brush out!! Also, I once left him in out living room on the newly laid, wenge floor - I think it must have had a stone or something in the brushes as there were scratches everywhere!

Having said that, I have been glad of him this week as my cleaner is on holiday Blush !

If you get a scooba, does the kitten come with it?

(I had to google to find out what a scooba was!)

"This Sebo. What's it's suck like? "

Well Sarah, it sucks brilliantly, but without lifting the carpet off the floor(old Hoover) and guzzling small toys (Ex-VAX)

It's expensive, but comes with a five year garuntee.

I don't work for them, Honest! Grin

no no no no ladies.
the dream is two dishwashers. that way you can use plates straight from the clean one and load into the dirty one.

Why is the stairs such an issue? Just use the hose to do half the stairs when at the bottom of it, and when hoovering the landing you can then finish off the top half.

PS. My parents had an upstairs and downstairs hoover, never seemed out of the ordinary to me until my sister's fiance tried to claim this made us "posh".

devilsadvocaat - you know that the result would just be two full and dirty dishwashers Grin

Although I like the thought of unloading straight from it thus never having to put away again....

I insisted on putting in the Beam built in vacumn system when house was being built, the best money I've ever spent. So handy.
