Shopping in Sutton

In thinking that the middle classes no longer shop in Sutton because the cheap and nasty High Street is full of pubs and cheap shops which are not really conducive to the middle-class lifestyle?

No idea ...I love a good pound shop myself

Valpollicella · 16/01/2011 20:45

There's a lot of different shops in Sutton. It's not all PoundLand Grin

This is your second (well, that I've seen) thread about Sutton... don't you have anything else on your mind?
If you're that bothered, I'm sure there's some local civic society or some such... Hmm

TattyDevine · 16/01/2011 20:59

Why are you so obsessed with Sutton? What's your agenda?

Mymblesson · 16/01/2011 21:02

There are over 20 places called Sutton in the UK.

Are we supposed to know which one you're wibbling about?

JoBettany · 16/01/2011 21:03

I was just about to ask. Where is Sutton?

GORGEOUSX · 16/01/2011 21:08

Sorry! SUTTON in SURREY Blush

Going from the general overwhelming shityness field generated the OP, I would imagine she means Sutton in Surrey, as the SE of England is the ONLY place in the fucking Universe.

narkypuffin · 16/01/2011 21:12

Sutton is a pile on the arse of the world.

JoBettany · 16/01/2011 21:14

I've never heard of it! Sounds like that is a Good Thing.

Mymblesson · 16/01/2011 21:38

It's OK. Just a town in SW London not far from Croydon. Christ alone knows what class has to do with it.

If the self-proclaimed 'middle classes' avoid it, it sounds like it's evolved into halfway to frigging paradise since I lived in the area.
